Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Beverly, I'd appreciate the wedding pics, if you could, to my profile address.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

no 3 day weekend for me, but mac has one and HE IS NOT PLEASED that he has to go to camp on Monday. too damn bad, child.

Scrappy, I'm so sorry.

Work has a 3 day weekend, but I do not. I was going to work from home, but I'm rethinking that after today. Working from home listening to my cat wheeze isn't exactly good for my anxiety levels.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Huh. I do have a 3-day. [This means I'm 0 for 2 on remembering/knowing about holidays this year. Somebody remind me when July 4 rolls around.]

Msbelle, that is ouch indeed.

I just got a text from the newlywed cousin--her and her oldest sister have an LA layover tomorrow, so I get to see them! Not celebrate, and no wife, but still. I've seen the young one once since I've been in LA. Once.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have a three day weekend, not that it matters since I've basically been out sick this whole week. But what I will be doing is: installing Pro Tools 10 whoot!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am in the midst of a 5 day weekend (all unpaid, though, so not that exciting). And I have a cold - I am telling myself that my throat and sinuses are irritated by environmental factors and I am not actually sick, it just feels the same as a cold. For some reason, this seems better to me. I am about to try the folk remedy that I just coined of "feed a fever, drown a cold with alcohol", see how that goes. Often worked in college, as I recall.

I'm so sorry, Scrappy. I'm sure you will land on your feet with your usual aplomb, but that's a drag to have to.

No three day weekend for me either. My roommate has gotten used to the government--she was all "how can you not?" And surprised when I said I didn't think I had ever gotten MLK day off

Our wings are not tired

Have fun with Pro Tools 10. I'm sitting at a Pro Tools rig right now and will be at one all weekend.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So I work 8 to 4. Boss is pretty firm on sticking to a 40 hour work week. I'll be logging at least 4 hours on Saturday tomorrow. At 2:30 she tells me that if I want, I can clock out early to compensate for me working the weekend.

Um, no?

Hi, I'll be taking a proper half-day next week, so sorry.

I've been taking active measures to undermine her freaky control tendencies, which has been giving me mucho pleasure. Deferring hers and mine needs to another department, which on one hand seems like a workaround, but really is just insulting to the woman who should be doing that work, and despite her Excel deficiencies, seems to be on top of things.
