So I work 8 to 4. Boss is pretty firm on sticking to a 40 hour work week. I'll be logging at least 4 hours on Saturday tomorrow. At 2:30 she tells me that if I want, I can clock out early to compensate for me working the weekend.
Um, no?
Hi, I'll be taking a proper half-day next week, so sorry.
I've been taking active measures to undermine her freaky control tendencies, which has been giving me mucho pleasure. Deferring hers and mine needs to another department, which on one hand seems like a workaround, but really is just insulting to the woman who should be doing that work, and despite her Excel deficiencies, seems to be on top of things.
No 3 day weekend here either since it is unlikely that any of our customers would be closed. I'll likely go home for a very long lunch so that I can watch the inauguration events.
Well, I'm getting a three-day-weekend all right.
Where are we discussing Downton Abbey. I'm doing a rewatch with Beau (he never saw it before) and his reactions to DA are hilarious. in episode 2 of season 1 he could not STAND Mary. Had a hate on for her like I've never seen.
Now he is calling Edith names. About 5x through any episode he says to me: why is she always running after Mary's men? What's her problem?
then when she got recognition for her work in the hospital (S2) he growled: "she doesn't deserve any applause with her stank ass. Sybil deserves applause."
Aww, I love Edith. Poor middle child.
No 3 day weekend here and tomorrow is devoted to fumigating my parents' house again. Though Sunday off will be better than last weekend (which I worked through).
Interface is installed. Preliminaries are installed. Now for the thing itself.
I love Edith now, I recall not thinking much of her in previous seasons. Girl makes some poor choices. Not that she has a lot of options, but still.
No 3 day weekend for me but I guess that's my fault. But Sammy's birthday is on Monday, which I can hardly believe.
I'm definitely Team Edith.
