"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Rats, Suzi. It was going so well up until then!

Well, I have achieved the amount of productivity I have allotted for the day. I have purchased and installed the heat tape around my condensate drain line. It was a little more "assembly required" than I was expecting, exactly, but fortunately I'm comfortable with stripping wires and making the grounding connections and whatnot. I'm pretty sure I've installed it in a way that will not burn the house down.

And the furnace is back working, but that's too soon for it to have been caused by the heat tape. However hopefully it will keep it from recurring tonight. It still only ever got up to 19 from this morning's -9.

And then I went to Verizon and ordered the replacement for my mifi I lost. It's not exactly a replacement. But hopefully it will work.

So now I forsee a lot of lying around for the remainder of the day. Maybe I can get some deskwork done, but it'll be bedwork instead.

Timelies all!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Went to the doctor. I am now vaccinated against pertussis (and tetanus and diphtheria, neither of which I can spell on the first try), and I got the doctor to say that my husband should get a flu shot.

We shall see if this convinces him to get a flu shot.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Dang, someone on another board I frequent wrote that she felt exhausted and had no energy today, so she ate nothing but pop tarts, candy, and fudge in response. And then complained about still being tired like that's a diet that should have her feeling wakeful and vigorous at the end of the day.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Isn't today Theodosia's birthday? Yahoo tells me it is. If so:

Happy Birthday, Theo!

Yay flea for keeping hope alive!

eta: I think Theo's b'day was last month on a triple Buffista birthday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yep, Theo was 12/26.

But it is apparently msbelle's birthday! So HBD to her.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Hmmmm, if they are his that wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker. Looks like ill be back next Tuesday so maybe I'll see him again.

Pest control came in, did their thing, and apparently complained that not all our drawers were empty. All the clothes were gone, just other stuff in the drawers. The instructions from them didn't say to empty all drawers. Anyway, they will be back again next Tuesday so I can't put the house back together for another week. Sigh.

Okay, so Yahoo was wrong. I'll call it a belated, because I wasn't around then. I'm gonna birthday somebody today, though.

Happy birthday, msbelle!
