Gris, I'm so sorry.
Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Some fun horsy links: Fun horse clip jobs; Richard Spooner's spectacular save on Jamco and some horses of a different color.
9 of the 18 things I had listed on ebay sold. 1 unsold item, it was the second listing, so that item is now in the Goodwill pile. 7 things were mac toys, so he is getting $30. 2 listings were items that did not sell at my churches Holiday Bazaar (all the money goes to charitable orgs we support), so that is $10 for them. 10 items leaving my house and since these were not small things, I am reclaiming a 21 gallon plastic bin. ALso got 4 boxes and quite a bit of packing materials out of my hall closet. WHOOT!
Oh Gris, I'm so sorry. Both for the losses and the logistics.
that item is now in the Goodwill pile.
My neighborhood does a thing once a year in January (wisely timed to be after Christmas) called Up For Grabs Day. Tables are set up in the gym of one of the churches, with categories marked on signs above them (electronics, books, housewares, kids' clothes, mens' clothes, womens' clothes, toys, etc.). And people bring whatever they want to get rid of, and can browse and take home as much as they want of what they find. People who don't have anything to get rid of can pay a $5 fee, and then take home as much as they want. But I think most people show up with piles of stuff.
I have been keeping a list of what we want to get rid of. It's in a couple of weeks and I cannot wait. And we usually come home with other stuff, but generally it's things we legitimately needed. Tim got a fully functioning flat-screen computer monitor there one year.
I think at the end of the event, whatever is left then goes to Goodwill.
Oh, Gris, I'm so sorry. Your poor family.
Gris, I am so sorry for your loss. What a sad coincidence.
My condolences, Gris.
Sue, wanna come to Disney in March? Meet the whole wakky family? C'mon, you know you wanna.
msbelle, I love you and I am sure I would love your family, but I don't think Disney is my jam. I am the worst amusement park person in the world: I am both afraid of heights and so prone to motion sickness that I have to take gravol for the bus ride from Cape Breton to Halifax. (It's a windy road!)
