I've been around people with the flu all through the holiday season, but I did get a flu shot this year and so far no sign of the ick. I hope if I haven't gotten it yet, I'm not going to at all, but we'll see.

Yikes, scary reports about the flu! All three of us got our flu shots already, so I hope we'll be OK. Rose had to get hers in two parts, and we took her for the second one just a few days before Christmas, whereupon she promptly came down with a bad cold, quite possibly from some sick kid in the waiting room. But still, far better to have a cold than the flu! (She's all recovered now.)
I got my flu shot WAY late this year since Hurricane Sandy pushed back my office's health fair to a date when I couldn't make it into the office. But I did finally haul my ass over to Walgreens so the family is all vaxxed up. (Except Aeryn, who gets her second dose at her 2-year appointment next week. And next year both kids can get Flumist which will make them both much happier.)
damn. I missed my flu shot. would it do any good to get it this week?
I haven't gotten mine either, but I keep seeing PSAs saying it's not too late, so I'll try to squeeze one in soon.
The flu shot takes 2 weeks to fully protect you (and even then it's not 100% effective), but flu season continues through March, so it's probably worth it (and free with many insurances, and only $20 or so at Kroger/CVS/etc. clinics).
Got my shot in October. Yay, metabolic disorder!
edit: I think I got a hepatitis shot at the same time.
I got me my flu shot, but I'm trying to remember what the other shot one of the triaging nurses asked me about was...hmm. I'm low risk in that I rarely am in contact with people with compromised immune systems, except hospital every week. So there's that.
Okay, I got to knuckle down. It might not be a day of onerosity for everyone, but I've got half a Twix and a cup of tea, and I'm going to hammer away at these testing documents. And only cheat by doing research on graphics tablets. Is it cheating if you make rules to allow it?
Oh! Speaking of cheating, I was thinking of this question easier--if you found out that the SO of someone close to you (family member, best friend), would you tell the cuckold the truth? Do you consider it more or less "getting in their business" to insist the cheater come clean?
Okay, I gotta go set some scope and shit.
I got my flu shot and updated my Tdap vaccine. Vermont official has an epidemic of whooping cough. That wears off after a while so don't forget to get your other vaccines updated if you get the chance.
There's around 500 cases of whooping cough as of December, but it's 10 times the number of cases from last year which is why an epidemic was declared.
I got my flu shot last November. However, I also hear the match between the shot and this year's version of flu isn't quite as good as it could be.
