Oh, man, my coworker has been out a lot in the last few months because her soon has been sick. I know he was in the hospital over new years for almost a week. She is in today and said he has a brain tumor. He is, like, 5. They are trying to schedule surgery for sometime soon. How terrifying. He's being treated at Hopkins so at least I could talk about the great care Bob had there and could tell her to let me know if they ran into issues navigating the system there because I could get my friends to help them out.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

oh msbelle- I sure have had bosses like that. I always feel they are expecting you to work the overtime and lie about it.

I don't really care one way or the other for The Great Gatsby, but I love The Hotel New Hampshire, which references GG a lot, so I am glad I read it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Still dealing with my work clusterfuck, and I literally can't tell if my boss wants me to take initiative/responsibility or go through her on everything. I am hoping this is because she is also not sure.

Sort of puts my Monday morning irritation at the dog peeing on the bed in perspective. (Still, what the heck, puppy! It's been weeks since you've had an accident!)

Oh god, a brain tumor in a bitty kid? Awful.

I must agree, Gatsby would only be improved by death and destruction. Early on, preferably.

I am freaking out a bit that my "lasers making holes in my EYES" surgery is tomorrow. And I don't get Valium for that one, only for the "implanting plastic in my eyes" part. Also, doctor wants me to get eye drops that are not covered by my insurance and are $250 a bottle. LITTLE bottle.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What's up with your eyes, meara?

Dunno why lasers in the eye doesn't warrant Valium, but that's what they told me too.

I'm not looking forward to lasers pointing into my eyes either, though that's not on the schedule currently. The idea of me having to sit there and having to stare into a machine that's going to do things to my eyes is highly wiggy.

LASIK? Good luck!

I haven't worked a full work week in a while. I'm trying to cope with this "be at the office five days in a row" thing.

OMG, I had forgotten about the whole five days thing!
