You're welcome!!
Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The people I have been reading think there might not be much to the Allen stuff. But we will see. The FBI has a lot of explaining to do though. Way too much surveillance and for what?
Dog update: He did really well! Some complaining when he was first put in the crate, but he quieted down pretty quickly. Very, very pathetic whimpers, though.
I still didn't sleep as well as I could, because of nerves, and then I got up at 6:30 to take him out. I mostly convinced him that we could sleep a little more, so I put an old comforter out on the floor.
Mostly, though, he is very energetic and does not understand why I won't just spend my entire day walking him. He needs a yard and kids to run around with.
Animal Control opens at 9, so I'm heading out in about 20 minutes to drop him off.
I will miss the doggy!!!
Good dog!
I hope you find your people, or new people who are good to you.
Apparently Paula Broadwell's house in Charlotte is very close to that of Rielle Hunter's (John Edwards mistress and mother of his child). That makes the bus tour a little easier.

Me, too! But he's very lucky he got Dana to take him in. Good on you, Dana. I hope he finds a forever home, as the rescue people call it.
Oooh, check out Paula Broadwell's high school prom picture. She's totally got the Liz Lemon High School perm.

Oh, snap.
A coworker brought in a big box of slightly-stale cookies, all different times, and when I asked him where they were from, he claimed he baked them all himself.
... I do not believe him.
I don't know that I've ever watched a James Bond movie all the way through
And I've never not! Well, okay, I don't mean I'm always watching all of them all the way through--just that I've seen them all in the theater since Moonraker, and everyone but Skywall more than once, up into the tens the further back you go.
JAMES BOND IS NOT OPTIONAL
I don't understand you guys.
I think Diwali is the second most observed holiday here, third if you count Halloween. Just talked a co-worker into going back to his car and getting his long kurta. He's wearing a short tunic now, and it's the least Western I've ever seen him look--I have been ragging on him for being overly Americanised (the from-India Indians here don't hesitate to taste the food I offer them, but he clams up like most of the people with an American passport, which is a sad grouping. Live a little, people! It's just a plum!)
I busted ass to get here for my 8 o'clock meeting without realising it was at 9. Which is good, because I would have been 1 minute late, and wondering about my breakfast the whole time.
when the focus was on Savile
Jimmy Savile is totally the sort of guy that makes you go "I'm totally not surprised..." isn't he? Post hoc skeeve galore.
Happy birthday, Hil!
