Except for the horrible your cat is dead book!
Ack!
The DVDs I got from the library include: 1 Pinky and the Brain, 2 Looney Tunes and 1 NCIS. This is all good to watch on days when you want to do nothing, right?
I left all of 25 minutes before I was supposed to. I am now making chocolate chip cookies to take to dinner. I should have just done this last night. (I can make them in my sleep.)
I just turned on the space heater in the kid's room. It's 63 degrees in there. CHILLY!

Ack!
But it's so good! I mean, terribly sad, but really good. I would recommend it for a kid with a dead cat. Except for all the crying.
Ah. Bibliotherapy at its finest.
I'm backing up my computer again. It took hours last time (20 days ago). I wonder how long it will take this time? Should be shorter, yes?
Yikes, that's too close to home, Jesse. What were you thinking, Jesse's Mom?
I did see that after the St. Bernard died, my sister printed out an email I'd sent her several years ago, with the text of that Rudyard Kipling poem, the one with the line "never give your heart to a dog to tear".
In other news, I have a working washing machine again! And my new Kindle arrived! I splurged after Christmas and bought myself a Paperwhite, and it's so wee and light! I love it already.
I think there's no way I'm actually going to this party tonight. If only it weren't a 45 minute bus ride away! If it were next door, I'd probably go, but ugh. But I want to be social! But maybe not enough to actually do it.

I'm sure she thought it was nice (appropriate/comforting), which it was, but still. You know.
Jesse, I hate that kind of dilemma.
Which is why I'm having people come to my house tonight.
I did some work, but then I stopped. Now I'm reminding myself I need to go to the store and buy stamps, and dryel, and soda.
