ok, whew - well I just did all that part of the pumpkin pie making. and despite you all posting, I am going to continue.
Add to that mixture 2 Tbl molasses and 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk. stir, then pour into baked pie shell. cook for 45 min at 375 with foil on edges, then removefoil and cook about 10 more min.
I am downloading 11 books from Project Gutenburg to read in 2013 (January I plan to finally finish The Mill on the Floss). So far I have Anatomy of Melancholy, Journal of the Plague Year, The Tempest, The Scarlet Letter, The Pickwick Papers, Boswell's Life of Johnson, Five Children and It, and The Alchemist.
...I'm insane, aren't I?
a book a month is a great idea. I should do that with my tbr shelves.
found out that one of my advisees possibly plagiarized. this is a student who is in the middle of writing a dissertation. I am hoping that such plagiarism took place during the dissertation proposal and NOT on the major exam student had to complete before becoming a doctoral candidate. If it is the former, I can handle it in such a way that it may not need to go t a disciplinary committee. if it is the latter, the student may have to do a 4 month exam process all over again.
I haven't heard all the details yet, but maybe this needs to go through a disciplinary committee any way.
God. I don't need this bullshit.
pumpkin pie is in the oven and the broken up pumpkin muffins are in there also to get dried out more.
I fixed an earring, sorted the paper piles that were multiplying and found out the Call the Midwife special started 30 minutes earlier than I thought. Watching it now.
I figured out why writing one to the boss feels wrong. I bought the gifts. If he had given me anything other than what I bought and wrapped for the directs, then yes. Also, this was with company money. so no, I think no card for him.
Also, we finished off Christmas with my cousins I hadn't seen earlier, and one of them is pregnant! I'm excited, because I was starting to worry -- I knew she wanted to have kids and they've been married two years, so.
In other last-gasp-of-Christmas news, my four year old cousin LOVED the blanket I got her! I thought it was a weird present, but it's pink and cozy and has her name on it, and she was totally into it.
