I am torn about picture cards though.
Yeah, I've kept those. And select nice ones -- last year, I hung a ribbon across my mantle with old cards on it, and just replaced them as I got new ones. (I can't believe anyone sends me a card, since I never send any myself, so THANK YOU to people who do!)
