Sheryl, I hope they figure out what's up with Nova!
apparently there are 59 precincts in Philly where not one person voted for Romney.
I just scanned unofficial Boston lists, and there was one precinct that only had one Romney vote, but it only had 21 votes total. A bunch more had fewer than ten, though.
Favorite comment about the P4/Broadwell mess:
On paper, Ms. Broadwell's pedigree is quite impressive. As in the case of the woman astronaut who drove cross-country in a diaper, educated does not necessarily mean either ethical or sane.
Yay ita having a tea she likes?
Heh. Unfortunately, I LIKE ALL THE TEAS.
Damned tea machine makes everything yummy....
Cautiously optimistic: UPS just called me to confirm when I'll be home tomorrow. (Which information I gave her on Friday, but whatever.)
Man I cannot shake this bad mood. I really should have stayed in bed today.
I have had one of those mornings that makes coming into the office feel worth it.
I KNOW.
But, seriously. Sometimes the face to face time makes a difference, and sometimes you still get work done despite potential distractions, and all those distractions did need to happen anyway.
There's a chick back who worked on a project with me with my original boss here. She took time off to have a cute baby, and she mentioned how different it was with him gone (she's not in our part of the org chart), and I had to say--I really underestimated the breadth of his impact. It's totally not just the people that worked for him, but in fact all the projects he was on that he affected markedly.

OMG yes.
I am drowning in work, and really annoyed at my bosses. That's TOTALLY a good time to have my annual review today, right?? Oy.

How odd, that exact case came to mind when I first was reading about her. So accomplished; so nuts.
I had issues focusing all day so one of my cohorts and I decided on some Cuban coffee at 4pm. That might have been an error, or maybe I'll work out tonight!

Don't tell them to fuck off.
More stuff is coming out about the P4 scandal.
Paula Broadwell looks like she divulged some CIA secrets in a speech she gave in October. I'm guessing she doesn't get the Bradley Manning treatment.
Holly Patraeus is not feeling particularly forgiving.
Some are speculating that Patraeus didn't start the affair while he was in the army because it not only violated the code of ethics there, he would've been subject to a dishonorable discharge
and
loss of all benefits including his pension.
Doesn't look like P4 had an affair with Jill Kelley. However, it is very strange that she was able to get the FBI to investigate the threatening emails. They don't follow up on email threats, and the essence of Broadwell's emails are protected by free speech amounting to little more than "stay away from my man."
Kelley basically asked a friend in the FBI to follow up on the emails. This really seems kind of fishy and unlikely. A little too coincidental for the whole thing to topple the CIA director.
Jill Kelley supposedly worked as a liaison with Special Operations Command. On that basis, I can imagine that someone would want to look at it just to make sure that it didn't blow back on SOC.
