I see what you did there, brenda.
I brought some TJ's iced gingerbread men to the office today.
Why do I have to work? Sigh.
But at least it's Friday and I'm in jeans. I get to dogsit this weekend while my sister's family goes skiing: but at least we're down to only about 110 lbs of dog now. And I can stay in my own house, although if the Demon Golden Retriever eats any of my shoes, I will be Very Upset.
"If only Nancy Lanza had guns then she could protected herself!" So I'm sort of a bad person too.
This has been my response, actually.
On fb, there is a great quote, "If a pre-schooler hits another child with a rock, the answer is NOT that all pre-schoolers should have rocks."
It's tragic that simple logic does not win.
Happy travels, Sparky!
I wasn't playing the game, but I have not heard LDB at all yet this year. I think that may be a result of hermiting and listing to HPotter books instead of the radio. Still, unsullied.
On the Internet, no one knows if you're a bee.
Happy solstice! I was half considering getting up at 3 am to light a fire but sleep and sanity won out this year.

I truly feel that the only workable solutions to gun violence begin with repealing the 2nd Amendment. As long as we still have enshrined in our constitution the right of individuals to arm themselves well enough to overthrow the government, state and local gun control laws are a non-starter.
I'm watching the NRA guy (my TV feed is about an hour behind) and in his first minute he really has blamed this tragedy on the existence of gun free school zones. I think I am going to have to fast forward before I get too upset.
I heard that on NPR on the way in to work this morning. Rage-inducing.
I watched a few more minutes and have now fast forwarded. I am just stunned. Really, they think arming everyone will improve things. I was home sick already but now feel a lot worse.
Ugh. I don't think I can listen to that. On my way home the other night I heard an NPR piece about all the people going out and stocking up on guns and ammo in response to the Sandy Hook shooting, and my honest response was, "Wow, you people are sick."
The upsetting news conference was followed up by the moving tribute by President Obama for Daniel Inouye. Glad I fast forwarded.
