Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
On the fondue discussion from earlier, my mom got me a fondue pot for Chanukah. When we went out to dinner for my birthday, my sister and I got fondue for dessert, and my mom says that I seemed really fascinated by the fondue pot. I don't recall being all that fascinated by the fondue pot -- I was mostly interested in the melty chocolate and things to dip in it. I think I'm going to return the fondue pot -- there's really not much point to fondue without a bunch of people, and I don't have a bunch of people over often enough to make it worth it.
Ha! I did wonder.
I think my favorite comment is this one:
The only thing I was skeptical about was the rent.
I don't doubt there are people living in illegal apartments without plumbing in Brooklyn, but I don't think they would be bragging about it on the Internet.
For those undecided or shopping, Gizmodo compares the best small tablets.
Looks at Nook, Kindle Fire, iPad Mini, and Google Nexus 7.
Comprehensive and seems fair.
can someone do the research for me, if one can play minecraft on a tablet?
So how many people are actually freaking out about the world ending on Friday? I'm not hearing much, compared to the pastor who predicted the world ending last year.
there must be a lot of people who are freaking out about it in order for NASA to put out a statement.
I'm not freaked out, but I keep seeing muttering on tumblr from people who are freaked out by other people being freaked out, and thus are worried that Stupid Violent Things will happen.
