The escapees are either really stupid, or really, really clever.

The breakout sounds like a breakout planned by middle school kids. Amazing that it worked.
Walrus photo is beyond adorable.
It's freezing in my house -- 49 degrees outside. But sunny.

Which, as we learned from Spinal Tap, is a very fine line. [link]
I have the Game of Thrones theme music in my head, which is kind of nice since there aren't any words.
The rest of the time, it's the Downton Abbey theme, which does too have words, they are just "Do do do do do do do do do DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH DAHHHHH"
I've got the Waitresses' Christmas song stuck in my head--and just the "Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas" bit. I'd like it gone now.
Bah Humbug, but that's alright cause it is my favorite hokiday.
ION - I am not even halfway through foling, stuffing and addressing my bosses holiday cards. NOT GOOD! as it is past halfway through today and they really need out today.

Well if we're going down that road, the words to the GoT theme are "dum dum DADA dum dum DADA dum dum DADA dum dum, DAAAAAAAA DAAAAAAAA DADADADADA DADA dum dum DADA dum dum..."
Thanks to you people, I now have "Little Drummer Boy" stuck in my head.
I like all the menu planning talk! We're hosting both our families (my parents, my brother, and M's parents, though not his dad's new wife) and haven't really done any menu planning yet, so that needs to happen very soon. I'm thinking french toast and some kind of eggs+veggies dish for xmas morning, maybe a big soup the night before. Lots of nibbles & snacks. That's as far as I've gotten. Ooh, except I really want to make latkes! I made leek fritters a couple weeks back that were really yummy and not too difficult, so now I'm emboldened to make all kinds of delicious fried things. Does anyone have a good latke recipe?
