"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I lost the LDB game tonight too. They played it at trivia, as well as having a LDB question. (What animals kept time with the LDB?)

We had turkey for Christmas eve for years, but once there were only three of us, we eventually decided it was too much trouble. We starting having shrimp creole, under the theory that is was red and green.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

We used to do a full out turkey dinner- a lot like thanksgiving- on xmas day (midafternoon.)

We do this. I don't love it, but we do.

Long-haired boys who aren't Kane? Huh. Except for the obvious Hemsworth. Wait, maybe I can do this. How long is long?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

My dear friends down the street had a family tradition of fondue on xmas eve and crab on xmas day. I enjoy the fondue part, it goes well with almost any kind of fun cocktail, or wine. I'm giving her a bottle of local craft-brewed Aquavit for the holiday and might have to bring it early for fondue-accompanying cocktails. Mmmm. My southern family did honey-baked ham and the northern family did venison. Killed by an uncle, of course. Poached along with the xmas tree, if I properly understand the hunting laws in the area.

That sounds delicious.

I should do fondue.
