re: school shootings and Jz's post above -
the thing that is getting me right and truly pissed off is that people commenting are proposing solutions to school violence that don't really address the problem. yes, let's make schools into prisons. But, in the most recent event, only kids in two classrooms were affected. So how would that design decision have prevented this? The shooter was buzzed in and a relative of a teacher. So what then?
How would making schools a prison help those who died earlier this week in Oregon?

It's pseudo-fancy dinner at the nearby convention center--10 blocks away, yay!--wherein we'll sit at a table with people who look at me and say "Tech Support? This is my big issue -- most kids who get killed by guns in this country aren't killed in these mass shootings. Preventing those would only go so far in keeping our kids (and everyone else) safer.

Right? Last season I always found myself watching Glee right after AHS just so that I'd be able to sleep. Somehow that worked. I don't get to watch AHS any more since they took it away from Hulu.
