"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have a friend whose husband, who was a very well paid physics rockstar, went to court to reduce the amount he paid, claiming he couldn't afford it. He didn't think he could possibly reduce the $2,000+ a month he spent on expensive restaurants. The judge did laugh.

The fuck?

I used to climb with someone (a kindergarten teacher) whose ex-husband had voluntarily bankrupted himself rather than pay child support. I do not understand this mentality.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yeah. That's a mindset I just don't get.

In my harsher moods, I feel that it should be grounds for terminating their parental rights. Don't want to pay your support? Fine. Just don't expect to be recognized as their parent.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The problem with that is there are probably plenty of deadbeat dads who'd be just fine with that and don't care about knowing the kids at all.

Trust my rage

Honestly, the act that he had money hidden away shocked me. I assumed he wasn't paying because he couldn't. Which I at least understand a little but not the hiding the money or spending it all to avoid the kids he fought so hard to see.

ION, I am listening to Les Mis. So much of that musical makes me teary.

There are a shockingly large percentage of them who feel that their sperm give them the right to demand access/influence/etc all without paying a red cent.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Checked three things off my list and had lunch. Off to do two more. I think the last errand will wait for another day.

I know a number of women that let them get a way with it too. They don't want to be the bad guy and deny the kids their daddy time. Makes me crazy.

I'm catching up on this week's Scandal, and all I can say is DAMN, Shonda...

this series is getting seriously weird and fucked up. I mean, that's evil. Covering up stealing the presidency by getting a BABY that makes your husband quit his job? (Probably won't work anyway dude). Killing a whole family cause you're a psychopath who killed the president? WTF.

I mean...WTF. I figured this season would get dark, less white-hat, but DAMN.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

meara,

it was a really fucked up episode, but I was so happy that Huck wasn't the actual killer, it didn't bother me that much. Also, I think you meant presidency, not pregnancy.
