CNN is saying 10 kids when I just checked it. (CNN also thinks I'm in China -- seriously. So maybe I'm getting an international version?)
There is also an incident in China, a knife attack in which a lot of children were hurt or killed, so that is probably causing more confusion.

It looks like 27 dead, 18 children, all under ten.
One shooter in custody, and I think the other is dead.
One person reported one hundred rounds going off. An entire classroom was missing, so I think that's where the casualties were concentrated. Sounds like he slaughtered an entire classroom and ran out of the school into the woods behind the school. Several of the adults who were killed were teachers and staff running towards the gunfire trying to stop the shooters.

Some reports said there was shooting in a Kindergarten class. So that might be the missing class.
Saw one other thing saying that the Principal had been pushing for stricter safety polices - wonder if that set off some right-to-arm dude?
The school does have a buzz-in set-up, but since one of the shooters was a parent that's how he got in.
