In other news, I've spent the past hour or so trying to read Emily Rapp's new book, which is coming out in March. It's about her son Ronan, who was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs disease. (She had that heartbreaking article in the NYT last year, "Notes from a Dragon Mom": [link] I cannot get through more than three pages without crying, so I think I'm just going to assign it without having read more than the first two chapters.
Then I went on FB to cheer myself up, and saw that there was a school shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut, and now I'm starting to cry again. I think it might be time for a walk. Really wishing I could snuzzle my baby right now.
(((ita)))
That CT story is so depressing. C'mon crazy people, stop shooting.
An elementary school? Jesus.
You got all the bank 'ma you can handle.
Amy,
I'm pretty depressed by all the mass shootings. I would like serious policy discussions.
God forbid, le nubian.
ION, I did not know that Myers and Briggs were mother and daughter! [link]
Oh God, I'm starting to hear it's really bad in CT.
I have made an optometrist appointment! And I put my vision insurance policy number into Evernote.
Now to make myself do all the other onerous tasks that I have on deck...
Oh God, I'm starting to hear it's really bad in CT.
Yeah, I can't believe what they're saying, don't even want to think about it. Press conference at 1:00. This is really awful.
I just checked my twitter feed.
CBS News says 27 dead, 14 children. 1 entire classroom unaccounted for.
