the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Um, because resigning will exempt them from testifying? I'm assuming this is not the case. (too lazy to verify) Of course we have known for a really long time that Clinton would be going.

Oh, totally. Which is why my ex-FB acquaintance just pisses me off. Willful ignorance.

Sec of State don't last longer than 4 years most of the time.

Again, totally. I thought most people knew that.

P4 will not testify about Benghazi.

Does "P4" stand for Petraeus? And if so, what does it mean?

I do find it interesting that adultery is seen as worse than killing large numbers of innocent people. Somehow that killing lots of people in Iraq and Afghanistan (and these days Pakistan and other places) is awesome. He ran programs that killed children as a side effect, but since that was his job it just made him a hero. But fucking someone not his wife, well that is beyond bearing and obviously he had to resign.

Our wings are not tired.

From what I gather he isn't resigning because of adultery, but for exposure of information (email) to a crazy person. (short version)

Kinda skipping the Petraeus stuff to ask if folks have seen every episode of Buffy in limerick form?

I hope the next CIA Director provides all reports to Congress in limerick form. Or haiku.

brillig

Hubby has picked up the line I came up with, that Democrats have sex scandals and Republicans have money scandals, so you should become a Democrat and get laid.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

P4 does stand for Petraeus and I picked it up because I don't feel like double-checking the spelling every time. He is a 4-star general. P4.

Apparently Broadwell broke up with him after he became head of CIA and he wrote her thousands of emails and texts to get her back.

Does "P4" stand for Petraeus?

It does. Because he's a four star general, I guess?

Right wingers complaining about P4 resigning do not care about this. Of course you are right, it is kind of ridiculous, but I file it away in the same irony category of mobsters getting caught through the IRS. After Clinton's impeachment, it is all kind of bullshit.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Hec,

then why did Broadwell write P4's other mistress a VERY threatening email?
