Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there it went. Seems to be back now.
It didn't load completely for me but Chrome seems to be working.
ION, behold the cuteness that is this Shetland Sheepdog puppy.
Work had a chili cook-off today. So much yum and I could only eat like 6 of the 20 entries because the rest had beef or pork. I fear the office smelling this afternoon. Some of the beef chilis had hot hot peppers in them and people were eating bowl after bowl.
It really wan't all chili: 2 stews and about 10 soups. The buy-in to taste and eat was $5 and all the money is going to a children's hospital we are supporting this year. The company will match any donations the employees make before the end of the year.
Ugh. It's a dark rainy day and I'm all by myself in the office.
I made the eggnog cake someone linked to and it turned out really nicely. I wish I had brought some with me to work.
Here's a supercut of all the Firefly moments on Castle:
ION, Mom is back on the warpath, although less nasty than previously. Apparently she hadn't had her morning meds yet, so she called to wish me happy birthday and then started ranting about having to move out of this horrible sterile place. Blargh.
Oooh, eggnog cake, Ouise? Sounds tasty.
Me, I mixed up the dough for chocolate-chip (M&M) cookies last night. I'm going to make them tonight or tomorrow, and then bring them to work on Wednesday as my White Elephant gift. A batch of homemade cookies ought to win out over some other "gifts" I have seen in these games.

Jessica posted the recipe a few days ago. It is very yummy, with an excellent texture.
I think homemade cookies beat most gifts you'd get in a work gift exchange.
Our office Yankee Swap on Thursday included a jar with two dead leeches. True story. The person who stole them is going to take them back to the store because apparently they were supposed to be alive.

Ooh, and you make it with bought eggnog? That might be just the excuse I was looking for to buy eggnog! Also, I was trying to decide what to bring to our office party.
