Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, and the last vet we saw is out until Monday. Not that he could really tell me anything, but STILL.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I am no help. Sorry.

Heh, no worries. I'm very much a baking novice, but I'm starting to see the fun in tweaking recipes rather than just giving up on one when it doesn't come out right.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oh, this is ridiculous. A student's father just emailed me to let me know that his son is applying to the Naval Academy, and that the Academy might contact me for a recommendation. He's mature enough to join the Navy, but not to write an email himself?

Okay, half the office is out today (people are using up vacation days, I guess), so we are entertaining ourselves with the following Very Important Question:

Which superhero is best suited to be painted on black velvet?

My vote: Thor. ("This medium, it suits me!" t light glints off Mjolnir t and Thor's golden tresses )

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Which superhero is best suited to be painted on black velvet?

Dazzler!

Silver Surfer could be resplendent also.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oooh, apparently there may be "talent" at our holiday party tonight. But we're not supposed to bother them or ask for pictures so I assume it will just be a lot of people very casually just happening to walk up to the bar at the same time as Matt Smith and pretending it's a coincidence.
