There's more than one way to skin a cat. And I happen to know that's factually true.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wow. Owen is awesome.

billytea, I assume you've seen the thing where some wacko said they were moving to Australia because their president is a man who lives his Christian values or some shit?

Oh yes. It's not that I expect you guys to know much about our PM or political system; but if you are going to know things about it, they could at least be true things.

...and I just unfriended someone on Facebook for sharing some Americans for Romney link and then adding her own commentary that "this is just how Hitler got started."

What, by running Bain?

And I just found the Sununu comment.

How stupid is this? There was a candidate who only had majority appeal to his own race, and it wasn't Obama!

Ok, those were parrots- grey with pink heads.

Were they galahs? [link] We have a flock not far from our home. I quite like them, though they are not the smartest of parrots. ("Galah" is now Aussie slang for a foolish person.)

Heh. No, it was an Americans for Romney thing that was badmouthing Obama. Part of what that post says is "A message for you. This is no longer about an election. It is about letting our voices be heard and at least being able to say we tried to save America from becoming European America."

And so then the person on my FB list, who is the one who re-posted it, added her commentary, which was the thing about Hitler, and people being blinded by his rhetoric, etc.

Also, I'd be THRILLED to be more like Europe.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sununu has made a lot of offensive comments this year, starting around June (and perhaps before). His comments about Powell are recent, but perhaps not even the most offensive.

YES! Galahs! Now I can sound smarter. And insult people. Score! And they are a noisy, jittery bunch.

Going to be a hot one.

I thought they'd been complaining about it stopping being European America. Pretty sure I've seen complaints about it becoming African America and Central American America.

Also, I won't extrapolate to greater Australia, but 'Nursing a hangover, lov?' to the woman buying coffee at a gas station when other customers are buying BEER AT shy of 8? NO LOVE.

I assume that's code for socialized medicine (which is code for "not letting poor people just die when they get pneumonia").

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really feel like people who don't like it here should go back where they came from.
