My non-buffista Facebook friends are having great Comic-Cons: Brandon peed next to GRRM (and tagged the resulting tweet #gameofurinals) and Karen the librarian had a lovely conversation with Spike about their mutual days as bartenders in NYC in the 1980s.

Wake up and talk to me! I am trapped under a sleeping 7 year old on the couch and have run out of free NYT articles!

Good morning, flea! I just made it through a week of being the only person in the office. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, but I'm glad to have one of my coworkers back from vacation on Monday.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hi flea. I dunno why I'm up. Today is my day off and I had a crappy day yesterday so I'd set my alarm for later but I woke up just now sure I'd already hit snooze.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hiya, flea! I'm trapped under a sleeping cat, and my coffee's out of reach. While traveling for work I managed to pick up a cold, so I slept about 30 hours out of the past 48 and, aside from being super stiff, feel a lot better. Today I'm going to get a pedicure and maybe see Pacific Rim.

Sorry you had a crappy day yesterday, Liese. I hope today is better.

My brother's research group has a new video on Youtube about their current work, Instrumented Bodies: Digital Prostheses for Music and Dance.

I thought it was really interesting, but I suppose I'm biased.

Our wings are not tired.

Huh, Flea woke everyone up, then left.

I have a house full of extra people so I woke up early (well, my usual time) and made 3 quiches for when they awake. This will not be soon because they were at the casino all night then went to the beach for sunrise.

So off for a nice long swim for me.

Ouise, I just watched the link. That is quite fascinating!

Wow, baking already! Very impressive. A swim sounds lovely. I haven't been yet this year.

I have a/the first rehearsal this morning for a song we're singing at church tomorrow. I'm only doing harmony, but it still feels pretty slapdash. Oh well, we'll see how it goes. I'm having some breathing problems, too. Blah.

Oh, I'm glad you liked it! I think the idea of attaching the instruments to the dancers is a really interesting approach. It doesn't hurt that it makes the instrument demonstrations much more interesting to look at!
