Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

But I do need new black pumps. And Flues are a sure thing.

That's a gorgeous heel shape. And I love the rounded toe.

I'm watching the second FF4 movie, and people need to calibrate. When you say Green Lantern was bad...it was not bad like this is bad.

SERIOUSLY. Also? Galactus? NOT A CLOUD.

Flues generally have generous toe boxes, which suit me well as I have flipper feet (narrow heels, wide ball.) Some don't but I've learned to eyeball it-they are consistent. One of the few shoes I trust to buy without trying on.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am not allowed to buy any more shoes. I am not allowed to buy any more shoes. I am not allowed to buy any more shoes.

I really need to spend the weekend cleaning all the things. And buy cat food. That might be too much excitement though, so I will have to recuperate in the hammock some.

I've actually instituted no-money-sunday. Which will break this week since I can't do the most of my shopping on sat. And I need to get new swimsuits as well as my usual saturday shop and defeats the whole purpose. Ack. Pay no attention to me. But I'm trying!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Lee, I seem to recall trying on Fluevogs with you somewhere - Napa, maybe? None of the stores listed on the Fluevog site sound familiar. I kinda feel like if I'm going to wear the same shoes every day maybe I should invest in some good ones.

Not trying to tempt you into shoe shopping against your mantra, btw, this is a longish-term plan of mine that will probably take months to get to the point of trying on much less buying.

Were we in the Haight? I could totally go to give advice on your shoes, if you want.

Flea, that does seem rather suspicious timing for your cousin. How on earth are you people in contact with your fourth cousins?? I mean, I have met many of my dads cousins, and a few of their kids who would be my second cousins, but nothing further back than that!!

I don't remember going shopping in the Haight, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I will totally bug you for advice when I'm ready to make my move!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm going to KC, then to SW MO to see family during my first ever week long paid vacation. I will be seeing cousins, too. There are 3 of them (once and twice removed) I haven't met yet.

Tomorrow will be exciting things like cleaning and laundry in prep for the trip.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Through genealogy research, mostly. Plus having a really uncommon last name, so that whenever any of us hear of someone else with the same last name, the first thought is, "How are they related?" For people who I know because our families have always been in contact, I think the furthest relation I know would be third cousins.
