Last day of class at UCLA! And I got home an hour early! And I registered my kid for after school care! And I called the office of nursing to get the new nurse situated.
I think I deserve a smore. With a peanut cup instead of a chocolate bar.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

My plans for tonight got changed, so I think mac and I are going to go to Dallas for Ethiopian Food!!
Well crap. My road trip looks like it may not happen. My friend got fired from her job today. It was a bad situation, so long term it is a blessing in disguise, but until she has a new job it doesn't feel like a blessing, I'm sure. Her job was about as toxic as some of the jobs described here.
But that means she needs to hold on to her money until a new job is secured. CJ doesn't want to go with me and that is too much driving for me to do alone.
I could stay-cation but that doesn't hold much appeal. What to do, what to do.
Rats!!
Thanks for the ~ma everyone. Surgery went well I hear, but we are not out of the woods yet. The mass was huge, and it had already metastisized, so I don't know what that bodes for what happens next. Diagnosis is uncertain, but either melanoma or sarcoma. I'll be heading back to the hospital soon.
Rats may not be advisable for a vacation activity. It's more of a long weekend thing.
edit: And here's for minimal impact, mass wise.
Fingers strongly crossed, Burrell!
Oh Burrell, I'm glad it went well and I hope things continue to go in a smooth way.
Best case, best case, best case, rah rah rah!
(My specifically created cheer for Burrell's sister)
It kills me that there's a PBS show in the style of Project Runway, but about winemakers. "You're going home. Please leave the vineyard."
