Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

hip deep in pie

One of my goals for the summer is to not start the work week already tired and worn out.

I know. This was a shit weekend for me, and I'm completely drained. And I have a five-day week! (I know, I know...)

50 minutes later, and barring any last minute stupidity between now and Friday, this girl has a new cheaper mortgage for the next 26 years! I'm saving almost $120 a month & I may be getting a check, too (depends on whether the semi-annual taxes were already paid out of escrow or not, bill is issued July 1, it might have been processed already.) If so, I guess I should do the responsible thing and put that towards principle?

lisah, thanks for the title rec. They were great about explaining everything.

Now to figure out what to do with the rest of my day off. It is brutal out there today.

eta: I guess I ate all potential monday good, sorry!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Go team refi! We ended up saving $200/month, and got back close to $1,000 because of taxes already being paid, etc.

We should put it back towards principle, but we also need to buy wedding rings. So, a little torn.

Go you, yay!

Tax payment was scheduled to be on the 13th, but hasn't shown up as paid yet online, so we'll see.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo, you guys!

I just got my review from my boss and it is...not great. It is not terrible, either, and I am actually surprised at how highly I rated myself! Ugh.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Congrats, sara!

I sent my boss a note about taking a week+ off at the end of the month and his response was "Well deserved, have fun". So nice!!!

am paying bills at work. Normally would not be so thrilled at that, but I am getting papers off my desk and that is good, both for my headspace and for the fact that angry boss is a bit ocd about cleared off desks, so this should bode well if he is in the office tomorrow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Back in the high lifeoffice again.

And my email is locked because I got the password wrong on my phone at the start of my PTO. So I can't turn off the out of office message. Which was wrong even before I took Friday off (I will return Friday the 11th? Good job, sickie.)

I've been welcomed back with crunchy seaweed with pizza cheese flakes. I am assuming that's glycemia compliant.

"Compliant" and "complaint" being so close messes me up a lot.
