Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am excited to be in the air-conditioned office! YAY AIR-CONDITIONING.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

One of my goals for the summer is to not start the work week already tired and worn out.

This is not going to be the week that happens though

Lee! I'm still trying to figure out what I should do on my vacation. Why should I go to Gavelston and/or Lake Charles? Sell me on them!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And now it's blistering son of a bitch.

Um, I'm not sure there's much of anything in Lake Charles except a casino and some refineries. Galveston is much more tourist-focused.

Hmm. I was going to Galveston for the beach and just veg for a day or so, and then Lake Charles because it's midway between Galveston and New Orleans. If selling you on New Orleans would be easier than selling you on Galveston, I could just meet you there and cut the first part of the trip short.

Eta, as Dana pointed out, Lake Charles is just a casino, which I already knew/mentioned wasn't your thing at all. If Galveston does interest you, we can find some other place to break up the trip or just do the drive in one day.

I know. This was a shit weekend for me, and I'm completely drained. And I have a five-day week! (I know, I know...)

50 minutes later, and barring any last minute stupidity between now and Friday, this girl has a new cheaper mortgage for the next 26 years! I'm saving almost $120 a month & I may be getting a check, too (depends on whether the semi-annual taxes were already paid out of escrow or not, bill is issued July 1, it might have been processed already.) If so, I guess I should do the responsible thing and put that towards principle?

lisah, thanks for the title rec. They were great about explaining everything.

Now to figure out what to do with the rest of my day off. It is brutal out there today.

eta: I guess I ate all potential monday good, sorry!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Go team refi! We ended up saving $200/month, and got back close to $1,000 because of taxes already being paid, etc.

We should put it back towards principle, but we also need to buy wedding rings. So, a little torn.
