I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just go with it.

I bought this nail polish that I put on and then realized if I'm going to like it at all, it's as a top coat. (The jury is still out on if I like it at all.) So I was going to put it over this other color I have, and then decided to do a little googling, and found a picture of the exact combo I was going to do! So my nails look like this now: [link]

Also, I have blueberry-yogurt popsicles in the freezer! Yay.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just fixed my chipping nail polish so now I have green with silver crackle on top.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Got an unofficial probie at work today. He was older, at first glance I pegged him at late twenties, but he's a sophmore in college. It was the porno 'stache that threw me off (and the freaky '70's haircut he was sporting). He's got thirty hours of community service due, which isn't much in comparison to what other probies have had to drum up. After my insurance/court incident, I feel like I want to commiserate with the dude, since that was almost my lot. And assure him that I'm not judging him, and am thankful for the help (even if I'm not thankful for whatever mess he's found himself in). I got excited for a bit, but he's not available weekdays until well after I'm gone for the day. But it was fascinating listening him give college advice to one of the highschool volunteers. In a way, that makes it even more worth it: to do the volunteer sessions and to take on the probies. Having the different age groups interact is never a sure thing, and not something I can facilitate every time, but marvelous when it does happen.

Because books.

I haven't done my nails in two months, seriously. My toenail polish is so old, it's barely there anymore.

Also, I have blueberry-yogurt popsicles in the freezer! Yay.

I need to get some fruit pops, but I do have Fudgesicle brand no-sugar-added (only 40 calories!) and I would never be able to tell them apart from a regular Fudgesicle. Very yummy.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

My toenail polish is disaster. Made worse by today's trip to the beach and a daily dunk in chlorinated water. I should redo my nails.

But it seems like too much work.

I am hungry but don't know what I want to eat.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My nails are all bare, but I found an emory board yesterday (I thought I was out) so at least they are filed and shaped.

I have plans and ingredients to make lo carb chocolate popsicles but haven't found the motivation. Although I might make ice cream instead.

Ooh, fudgesicles. Now I want to buy those! Note that in my freezer I already have a couple of peach-yogurt WW pops, some klondike bars, and now these homemade ones.

Edit: Oops, I mean zero peach ones.

sarameg - Jul 13, 2013 3:24:51 pm PDT #29083 of 30001

I had that lovely feeling of community this morning at the market and I didn't even see sarameg (but it was nice knowing she'd been there).

Aw. I was really quick this morning. Left here at 8:30 and was home by 5 after 9.

Had to bury baby robin today. Not sure which one it was, or what killed it. Ah well, I kept them dry and it was fun until it was tragic. Google tells me that only a quarter of hatchlings make it through their first year!
