"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

My toenail polish is disaster. Made worse by today's trip to the beach and a daily dunk in chlorinated water. I should redo my nails.

But it seems like too much work.

I am hungry but don't know what I want to eat.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My nails are all bare, but I found an emory board yesterday (I thought I was out) so at least they are filed and shaped.

I have plans and ingredients to make lo carb chocolate popsicles but haven't found the motivation. Although I might make ice cream instead.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, fudgesicles. Now I want to buy those! Note that in my freezer I already have a couple of peach-yogurt WW pops, some klondike bars, and now these homemade ones.

Edit: Oops, I mean zero peach ones.

I had that lovely feeling of community this morning at the market and I didn't even see sarameg (but it was nice knowing she'd been there).

Aw. I was really quick this morning. Left here at 8:30 and was home by 5 after 9.

Had to bury baby robin today. Not sure which one it was, or what killed it. Ah well, I kept them dry and it was fun until it was tragic. Google tells me that only a quarter of hatchlings make it through their first year!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I had an interesting day. We had a family reunion, where we met a whole bunch of relatives who we'd never met before. I was the only person who really knew how everyone was related, so I drew out a big diagram to explain it. (I'd tried to get Family Tree Maker to print it, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to print just the stuff I wanted, and printing out everything was 45 pages.)

Tomorrow, going to an Improv Everywhere thing with my dad. Should be fun.

Nifty, Hil!

That's too bad, sarameg. Wednesday brought a dead sparrow into the house, I guess it is that kind of day. I was grateful that it was really most sincerely dead, it's harder to know what to do with the injured ones.

Edit: Oops, I mean zero peach ones.

Sounds like you need to up your inventory of fudgsicles to compensate.

That sounds cool, Hil. Did you like them?

Because books.

And now I need to watch The Wizard of Oz. And have a fudgesicle.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Putting it together was kind of an epic struggle, or at least a long one, but the hammock is together and I am posting from it right now, AIFG!
