Oh, thanks for the offer, Polgara! I think I should just consider this a fruit cleanse and resume life tomorrow morning. Very kind of you to offer, though.
(Maybe pretending my tea has lemonade and cayenne pepper will make the plain yoghurt tastier)
The boutique hospital near the mall had a Wolfgang Puck certified kitchen and they were ABYSMAL. Ruined a fucking baked potato. Still can't work out the mechanics of that one.
Okee, but let me know if you change your mind.
let me know if you change your mind.
My modest goal right now is to get to sleep as soon as possible (I've asked them to move up the ambien dose to an hour from now, at least) and then wake up AND LEAVE. Life back in my own hands, whoo hah. But thanks for looking out.
Changing gears entirely--my sister has given me links she's trying to spread in fighting for legal abortions in Jamaica. So far she has twitter [link] and Facebook [link] I suggested they try tumblr too. I'm not sure precisely what the law is, but there were approximately 170,000 illegal abortions in 2008.
72% when it's not in the mid to upper 90s sounds very nice.
Are you saying it's not the humidity, it's the heat?
People don't say that.
I am thrown for a loop.
Washington DC, 6am, 71 degrees, NINETY TWO PERCENT humidity. I can't figure out how to dress, except maybe in a swimsuit.
79 degrees and 87% humidity here right now. Is early yet, The projected high is 90. Which is pretty typical for this time of year.
Timelies all!
flea,
Sadly, that is typical for summer in the DC area. I stay indoors a lot.
We're getting a high of 89, which sounds nice and cool after the recent heatwave. It's only 57 right now, though. It really cools off overnight, which I am still not used to. Warm enough for a coffee popsicle, though!
Huh, humidity is supposedly 89%. Really doesn't feel like it, but I am a bad judge of that.
I lived in DC my entire childhood and I still don't understand how 92% humidity isn't just RAINING. Or underwater.
It's a balmy but muggy 75 here in Brooklyn, which is a relief after the string of 90+ days we've had. I can actually sit in my living room and not stick to the sofa. Woo hoo my exciting life!
