'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Consuela, that's yet another reason that I bless MA, which although it's clearly overburdened, is at least visibly trying to make the unemployment process less onerous, starting with the base assumption that a claimant isn't trying to rip off the state.

Thank goodness for tablets, smartphones and books, because if you're going to have to spend hours trying to get what's due you, you need all the entertainment you can carry.

tommy -- thanks for the link to that crash footage. It is INDEED amazing that so many people walked away unharmed. The jet not only bounced, but spun at least 180. (Now we know why the attendants are so insistent about everything being adequately stowed for landing...)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I missed my shuttle home today, so I walked, because the heat broke! It is very pleasant out! And also I went by this bakery that has pretzel rolls, and they are disappointing! No salt on the outside. Still good, but not all I dreamed of.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Got one single can of very cheap wet catfood. Girls went gaga over it. I feel so evil that wet food really isn't in my budget when it makes their tummies so very happy.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Google has an interactive doodle today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I signed up to auto-pay the cable bill on June 9. Nothing has been paid, my bill looks threatening, and there's a late fee.

My estimated wait time is more than 15 minutes.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

AND I just noticed while poking in my account that they have me confirmed for a setup appointment in July. In Connecticut.

Ooops.

I need to call Comcast myself. Though I can't call the normal customer service line because we have a "special account" due to and agreement between Comcast and our apartment complex. Do I have the contact number. No. I need to contact the complex office and two calls is just too many.

So, I'm hanging at Starbucks while CJ is taking a drivers ed classroom training at ARP. Yep, he is learning how to drive the fancy trucks - lights, sirens, and all. Saturday he gets to actually learn how to drive them. *I* want to learn how to drive the trucks!
