What movie is this, Dana?
Turns out my laundry situation was not so dire, I just had forgotten where I put most of my work pants last week. But probably best I stay on top of it anyhow. And I really need to organize my wardrobe, but that isn't happening today.
The meal for barking offer still stands though.
Too bad I'm out of range. I'm an excellent subject for that sort of thing as I am very practiced at ignoring excited dogs until they calm down THEN giving them attention. There are some dog owners of my acquaintance who are amazed at how well their dogs behave around me - because they either think the jumping and barking is cute or they simply do not comprehend the principles of operant conditioning.
I think it helps that I tend to picture my aunt's lovely calm Standard Poodle, Jane, while I wait for the excitedness to subside.
"Stolen", with Nicolas Cage. It was pretty darn shitty.
Does your town have a little business district where you could walk him, Lee? Or maybe a dog park?
I'm in Barnes and Noble with writing friends, writing. This is the first I've been online since I've been here, and I've already written almost 1,000 words. Go me.
I'm figuring out that I've got to make my world smaller and more manageable so I can, you know, manage better or I would be all over that deal, Lee. One of thes days we need to meet at Point Isabel.
I've actually been advised to steer clear of dog parks, and stick to dog friendly parks, at least until Charlie is fully comfortable around other people and unexpected situations.
(Which may never happen.)
He's gotten comfortable walking around the neighborhood, which is good, so we may try a nearby park next weekend.
I haven't been able to sell "a meal for having your ankles nipped."
Yeah, it is a bit of a tough sell isn't it?
I wish I were closer, Lee, cause I'd let Charlie bark at me.
I went to the grocery store and then to get gas. Between the two, my car died on foothill blvd -- idling rough, but at least not overheating. ARGH. NO GOOD.
Especially no good because I have to go work at UCLA for the next two weeks and Noah has camp that he has to attend. I have no idea how to do this without a car. Except perhaps to rent a car.
so zucchini chips may be the yummies things I've tried in a while. I may need to buy a dozen or so zucchinis.
