Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It's probably very wrong that my first thought was "what kind of wine goes with dead mice?"

Love this (and the responses).

666 Park Ave

Is that still a thing? I didn't pay attention beyond the pilot.

I drove 6 hours yesterday, watched a production of Hamlet, went out for drinks, tried to sleep (couldn't because it was too quiet), ran around seeing friends, talked with students, watched a presentation and some rehearsal, drove through tourist central to see another friend and then drove 6 hours home. I feel like there was another day in there somewhere.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

They're burning it off on Saturday nights. It's not very good, but I kind of enjoy it.

That sounds like several days, yeah.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Goodness, aurelia! That's a lot.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

aurelia, I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another scorcher here in Baltimore.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Which of these is best for Lana:

She is wearing a ponytail, which might mean the long one is best, but most of the cosplayers I've looked at haven't copied the ponytail part.

I think the first one. Her hair's half-up, right?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just took two leftover salads (one lettuce, one farro) and mixed them together for lunch, and a thing I will give the CSA veg is that it lasts FOREVER. When stored properly. This lettuce is at least two weeks old.

In a ponytail. But I don't know if the headband comes off, so that one might be eliminated for that reason.

Hey, Wilmbledon--how you doin'?
