Today is a good day to go back to working my way through Akira Kurosawa's filmography.
Not really meant as a suggestion for Lee, just coincidentally happens to be what is going on with me, but it's not a bad one, perhaps.
Did I tell y'all that my sister, my niece and me quoting from Community all vacation and making vague stabs at explaining why what we just said was funny has convinced my mom to borrow my DVDs? I am torn between wanting to watch her watch and thinking that would potentially make for embarrassing moments to share with a parent.
Eta: Orphan Black is really good.
My first online place where I actually posted was an MSCL discussion board with just enough energy for a front page with a single picture (go ahead, act surprised), but before that I lurked on 90210 and Melrose Place boards, and way before those I was lurking along to the posting in fits and starts of a HHGTTG-esque novel-of-manners-a-clef co-written by a bunch of Vassar students including Greg Rucka.
Thirding Orphan Black. I just caught up on it a few days ago.
Is there anywhere I can watch it for free?
Sorry Le Nubian, probably you are where I got it from. Memory could definitely be better.
NYT piece on the mermaids at Weeki Wachee: [link] I think I've missed my calling.
(Matt, did you go and see the show?)
Flylady: I do have a control journal, but I never carried it around and now it is an Evernote notebook, like everything else in my life.
(Matt, did you go and see the show?)
Oh yes, getting to do so was my main reason for visiting Weeki Wachee. It was awesome! (The boat tour was also pretty neat, I got to see a 3-legged alligator and a little blue heron flying just out of arm's reach.)
Orphan Black should be On Demand -- at least, it was for me a couple of weeks ago, and BBCA has got to know that the buzz is still going?

Looks like BBCAmerica On Demand is about it, officially.
