I look more rad than Lutheranism

Just got back from The Heat. Which was funny

I saw a preview for it back when we saw Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and since it was an R-rated movie, there was an R-rated preview for The Heat (there was even a special warning before the preview). And it looked funny as HELL.

only one quasi-fat joke

The trailer really made me want to see it, but I was so, SO wary, because of fat jokes. I am SO glad to hear the movie skips them.

It's pouring down rain here, so I think fireworks are not on the schedule for tonight. Maybe we'll go see The Heat instead.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think anyone make fat jokes at McCarthy unless she gives them permission, and she's not the self-deprecating kind of comic. I don't think I'm spoiling shit by saying that one of the bad guys says she looks like a teenaged mutant ninja turtle and it's not played like he's funny. There are Boston accent jokes, and they get meta about albino jokes, and admit (too late) they were wrong for doing so.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I should go catch a movie. I still haven't seen Much Ado.

This design cracks me up [link] but I don't think it works well on a shirt. I seem to feel that way about a lot of Threadless designs.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DH and I took the kids to the pool this morning, then Dinosaur BBQ for lunch, and now I'm lounging on the couch while Dylan plays Wii Fit and Aeryn naps.

I wish I had an AC in my living room. It's hot here.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I appear to be unable to do much except 1) lie on the couch and 2) lie on the bed. I dunno what's up.

When you have to stare intently at someone's chest to get the joke, it's not a good shirt.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I appear to be unable to do much except 1) lie on the couch and 2) lie on the bed. I dunno what's up.

Whatever it is, I have the same malady.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hi all! Haven't been around much, but happy 4th to everyone!

I am at work. Of course, I'm getting holiday pay as well as normal shift wage, but I miss having holidays off. Still, a week's vacation begins this evening, so it's not all bad.
