I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

JFC, my father didn't make it to his day program today, because my grandmother didn't make sure he got in the cab. He was home safe and they hung out, but fuck. I don't think either one of them should be home alone at this point. My grandmother's too dizzy to do her PT exercises, but still thinks she might walk to the store. Yeah, no.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Timesheet submitted. No work until Monday. Even turning off my work e-mail on my cell phone (actually just did that so I didn't forget).

We don't have any real plans for tomorrow, but we are going up to a friend's cabin in Wyoming for the weekend. And my foot is feeling better so I might be able to go hike even!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

That sounds excellent, Suzi. And it reminds me to reserve a forest service cabin. I desperately want to reserve one of the fire towers, but it seems like a disaster to do with Grace.

I just had an excellent baguette. I wish there were more consistent, better baguettes more regularly in my life.

Our wings are not tired.

Jesse, how frustrating. By the way, when he went on his walk on Sunday, had he just taken off? Or was that a usual routine walk he'd take for himself and this time it just didn't work out?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So I realized that my quick acceptance of a temporary 4-day work week with raise starts next week (three day weekend, hello Boston!) and that ED isn't in this Friday, and I don't know if he told boss lady of the new sitch. I'll text him later, but now I'm wondering if it's his responsibility or mine to inform boss lady that I'll be absent a day longer than she might normally expect. (I'd like for him to do it, since he has more authority, but I want to be able to pose the query so that that responsibility is made clear that it is his job, and not mine. But I'm not sure and need a little validation [for being a chicken shit].

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I wonder what your friend distinguishes as merely femme.

I think "I wanted to make sure you knew I would be out X day per my new schedule assigned by Boss." should be sufficient.

I am feeling stupid. Why do I keep seeing "ICYMI" on Twitter; what does it mean?

He would go for a walk by himself a fair amount, I guess, but this time my mother was just downstairs for 45 minutes, and he took off. BTW, she did talk to EMS and found out exactly how and where they found him -- someone who had seen him on TV called 911.
