Pete is going to be nearby with parasols and a cooler full of cold drinks and ice packs.

And being in the shade, I imagine.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Has anyone here done Zentangles? I was frustrating myself in Barnes and Nobles the other day, and saw a couple books on them. There's some distancing economics about it, but as someone who feels her doodling is sub par (I know) and also wants different options for filing space, it looked kinda interesting. And the kind of interesting the web could help me with, so I only bought the book I'd gone in for.

I figure bonny might like it, for one: [link] And they really need a new motto.

Our wings are not tired.

Completed today:

Tired myself out reading Tom's list.

Well, I did the dishes, made the bed, and swam for an hour too. But I do that everyday.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I ran my first 10K race this morning in stupid hot weather. Then I ate pancakes. Then I napped.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Today I have, as already reported, mowed the lawn, and also run the dishwasher twice (and emptied and refilled it as you would imagine) and that's about it. And even though the temperature has been in the 90s rather than the 100s, I think that's enough, really. It's still frickin' hot.

Eta: Oh, wait, I did my 250 squats, that's not nothing.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The SO gave me today as an admin day. Which I know does not sound like a gift, but given how crazy it's been the last few weeks and crazier it's going to get the next few, it totally is and I am very glad. I got a ton done, still have a ton to do, and feel very tired of looking at this screen.

I think I'm going to go clean up around the cabin before we have to do our first speaking tonight.

AND we still have to rehearse and get to the gym. And eat. Eating would be good.

Trust my rage

Someone asked about same sex couples and immigration in this thread. My understanding is that USCIS has already approved the first SSM based petition. No official word yet but attorneys have been reporting that their clients' cases have been approved. That was on Friday. We are expecting official policy in 1-2 weeks but I think people could file now.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I went to Pilates, brunch with the Dude, went to Lowes and bought a new birdbath, off to Floyd's to get my hair colored, came home and helped fold laundry and now Buffistas. If J. finishes his newest article, we're going to "Much Ado." If not, hanging out here.

I'm always boggled at all the errands people can run on Sundays in other areas. About the only things open in my area on Sunday are supermarkets, big box stores, and restaurants. Libraries and public pools are closed.

24-hour gyms are closed on Sunday around here, too.
