Also, is your registration on your old car and the pending tickets dealt with?
I think so! DMV even agreed that I no longer own the car.
WOOHOO
I now have a hammock, and a stand, and an umbrella, which are all in boxes on my patio, where they will stay until it cools down again this evening.
Wind sparrow, you might try shaving cream for her fur.
Apparently there's a Death Canyon here in Utah. And it's on fire. If I were a fireman, I would not be happy to hear I was going to work in Death Canyon. Or I'd want some kickass post-Apocalyptic weaponry nearby, just in case.
I bet your husband would be delighted to work somewhere named that. Firefighters have to be different from the rest of us, or so much less lifesaving.
Bless them ALL.
It is not not ironic that I discussed not giving up on pointless arguments with the nurse. I know I can't convert her to science, but I am working very hard on setting boundaries and expectations, and that involves commandeering the discussion a lot. But now she's up to speed on the high level of Twitter, Facebook, Sturgeon's Law, Safe Harbor From Ann Arbor, and other internet things of beauty/evil.
I really need to get organised enough that I can de-porn in the time it takes for a visitor to make it from front door of building to my door. I was lucky this time.
Heading back home. My friend Alex and I are hanging out at Chip's house in Pittsburgh, hoping our flight isn't delayed by the massive thunderstorm currently passing over.
We go through Chicago on the way home, so I'll wave to all the Chicagoistas as I pass through.
This afternoon is going to be interesting. The StuntHusband and I are doing round two of the tintype photo shoot, which means outside, facing the burning orb and 90+ temperature, in full Victorian Gothic wardrobe including silk frock coats. Pete is going to be nearby with parasols and a cooler full of cold drinks and ice packs.
But the tintypes will be fantastic.

Has anyone here done Zentangles? I was frustrating myself in Barnes and Nobles the other day, and saw a couple books on them. There's some distancing economics about it, but as someone who feels her doodling is sub par (I know) and also wants different options for filing space, it looked kinda interesting. And the kind of interesting the web could help me with, so I only bought the book I'd gone in for.
I figure bonny might like it, for one: [link] And they really need a new motto.
Completed today:
Tired myself out reading Tom's list.
Well, I did the dishes, made the bed, and swam for an hour too. But I do that everyday.
