There are places I won't go in my imagination when it comes to characters from childhood, but I'll say this: I think they'll always live together.

The alleycat that I've been trying to get used to me for weeks now finally decided I'm a friend after being bribed with some chicken from my lunch this morning. Though he was later disgruntled that the tomato I set down to pet him didn't smell edible.

That's a really good point, Jesse. I like her, too.
I can see how it might be a little less than celebratory to be represented by Muppets in that way, too, when there are plenty of flesh and blood couples who might have been pictured.
