hip deep in pie

You guys, I really want a new job. I think three years is my limit! I'm just so over it now, and need to find some good prospects.

Right there with you! But I've been here for 5.5 years. A good job in my field has opened up for me...but maybe I want a career change?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What Sue said, except that it's not quite 5.5 years for me yet.

Also there are no good jobs open in my field right now, and even if there were I feel kind of unemployable.

Good thing people here like me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A good job in my field has opened up for me...but maybe I want a career change?

ALSO MY PROBLEM! It's so much easier to get another job just like this one....

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I had a dream the other night that I received a job offer. Eventually I decided to take it, as it paid more than my current job.

Now I just have to remember who offered me the job. Perhaps their HR will contact me in a dream in the future.

Hey. New board.

Re: the NOLA discussion, the Orange Beach/perdido key/pensacola/gulf shores area (on the Florida/Alabama border) is closer to New Orleans than Destin and provides a pretty similar beach environment. Not quite as many nice resorts, but equally pretty beaches. I suggest the Perdido area - it is a little calmer, but with the tradeoff of fewer nearby food choices.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The setup This is nearly the full text of an email I received today:

With apology, this week was very meeting rich and I scheduled a lunch for us today, but apparently did not let you know! Can we find another time?

1. "meeting rich" - kill me fucking now. NOW.

2. This meeting is for me to help said person. She asked me for my help 2 weeks ago. I asked her to let me know when she is free because I am flexible. She scheduled a meeting and didn't let me know. Which is the biggest WTF I have ever heard. There are just 2 people who will be at this meeting. One did not know about the meeting.

3. Why don't people start off suggesting days and times? It would be a lot fucking easier. Especially if you schedule the meeting and let the other person KNOW.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

tommyrot is literally looking for a dream job.

So one row over is saying alcohol and cocaine contributed to Gandolfini's death. I don't have the energy to research.

While in a hotel room with his 8th grade son?

I started kindergarten twice because we moved a couple of months into the year and the cutoff date was different. I was sad during that year that I wasn't going to school but I don't know that there was much of a lasting impact. I was way ahead of the other kids in reading when I started again.

Hey, if you're curious about my recent mentions of elephants and monkeys and such, this is what I'm working on: [link]
