Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have to go defend our company in a hearing at the labor board tomorrow. if I lose, we have to pay $20,000, so I'm a bit nervous. Plus the hearing is at 8:30 am, which is an ungodly hour.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Plus the hearing is at 8:30 am, which is an ungodly hour.

That's why God gave us coffee, to deal with these ungodly times.

Like, "Yeah, I'm not going to be there to help you at 8:30am. How about you drink this instead?"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You can do it, Scrappy!

After taking a single day off yesterday, I am now on the other side of the "take days here and there" vs. "take a whole week off, even with no plans" debate. I am still not ready to go to work!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, Scrappy!

I am already looking forward to my week off next week (and mildly stressing myself out with the too many things I would like to get done while I'm not working...)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Do people use/like Fitday? I don't need to track food, but I'd like to track my sleep and exercise; it's part of my therapy plan for insomnia and depression. I REALLY like my psychiatrist! He gave my a ton of free samples of my pricey new AD!

Oh, I am OFF Xanax and Ambien. 4 days of sleep restriction, and no matter how late I go to bed, I am getting up at or before 11, and no naps, and not going to bed before 11 pm. This is going to be hard, but Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has a better success rate for insomnia and drugs. And my new AD is working GREAT so far.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I signed up for Fitday back in the dark ages and used it for about a month? Any kind of tracking software that requires input from me is not going to succeed.

[Like, if Google Glass could take a picture of everything I ate and calculate the calories for me and also sync up with a watch pedometer or something...I would happily log in at the end of the day and look at all the data I'd generated. But I can't be bothered to write that shit down.]

Our wings are not tired.

I use Spark [link] and that has places for tracking exercise and sleep, etc.

Yay for the good drugs!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I used FitDay for several months after I got out of the hospital to log food and exercise. I rather liked the way it tracked and gave graphs analyzing various aspects of nutrition intake. At the time I was doing it, my primary motivation for doing so was to prove to the doctors and therapists that I was not eating like a fat pig, therefore I don't deserve to be a fat pig, therefore there is something wrong either with my body or with the universe. I find that it helps a great deal with keeping me centered on mindful/intuitive eating, so I decided yesterday to start tracking again.

Do people use/like Fitday?

I used it when I first went on my eat-healthier/lose weight thing back in 2006/2007. But now I use MyFitnessPal (when I use anything) because I like the app better.

I finally got a little belt to wear while running that will fit my phone, so I can start using one of those GPS-enabled tracking apps, and automate tracking my running. Of course, I'm going to Colorado for over a week on Friday, and for part of the time I'll be above 8,000 feet--I suspect there won't be much running going on.

Gasping, yes. Running, no.
