You can do it, Scrappy!
After taking a single day off yesterday, I am now on the other side of the "take days here and there" vs. "take a whole week off, even with no plans" debate. I am still not ready to go to work!

Good luck, Scrappy!
I am already looking forward to my week off next week (and mildly stressing myself out with the too many things I would like to get done while I'm not working...)
Do people use/like Fitday? I don't need to track food, but I'd like to track my sleep and exercise; it's part of my therapy plan for insomnia and depression. I REALLY like my psychiatrist! He gave my a ton of free samples of my pricey new AD!
Oh, I am OFF Xanax and Ambien. 4 days of sleep restriction, and no matter how late I go to bed, I am getting up at or before 11, and no naps, and not going to bed before 11 pm. This is going to be hard, but Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has a better success rate for insomnia and drugs. And my new AD is working GREAT so far.
I signed up for Fitday back in the dark ages and used it for about a month? Any kind of tracking software that requires input from me is not going to succeed.
[Like, if Google Glass could take a picture of everything I ate and calculate the calories for me and also sync up with a watch pedometer or something...I would happily log in at the end of the day and look at all the data I'd generated. But I can't be bothered to write that shit down.]
I use Spark [link] and that has places for tracking exercise and sleep, etc.
Yay for the good drugs!

I used FitDay for several months after I got out of the hospital to log food and exercise. I rather liked the way it tracked and gave graphs analyzing various aspects of nutrition intake. At the time I was doing it, my primary motivation for doing so was to prove to the doctors and therapists that I was not eating like a fat pig, therefore I don't deserve to be a fat pig, therefore there is something wrong either with my body or with the universe. I find that it helps a great deal with keeping me centered on mindful/intuitive eating, so I decided yesterday to start tracking again.

I used it when I first went on my eat-healthier/lose weight thing back in 2006/2007. But now I use MyFitnessPal (when I use anything) because I like the app better.
I finally got a little belt to wear while running that will fit my phone, so I can start using one of those GPS-enabled tracking apps, and automate tracking my running. Of course, I'm going to Colorado for over a week on Friday, and for part of the time I'll be above 8,000 feet--I suspect there won't be much running going on.
Gasping, yes. Running, no.
Highly therapeutic!
YES IT IS!

In other fitness news, I am buying a Wii Fit today! And a Wii to go with it. I predict that I will use it diligently for at least two or three weeks before letting it gather dust in a corner and eventually relist it on Craigslist.
no work for the yard again today. sucks. Now the terminal manager has had to go out on errands, so I am stuck here until he gets back and I forgot my book today.
Currently there are 3 drivers gossiping like old ladies in the other office. Trying to tell me that I am trouble. hmmm. They think they know, but they don't know. I told them they needed to settle down and that they'd do best to think of me as the old lady mama, cause that is all they ever gonna see.
