Wow Gud, that's amazing!! Go you!

I'm enjoying a lovely warm breeze and iced coffee waiting for my coworker--it's supposed to be hella hot here today (Denver). And I'm happy wearing a new dress I bought on Sunday, it's navy with a red and pink stripe at the bottom, and I had a woman in Starbucks be all "where did you get that? Recently?"

St. Sebastian is the one depicted peppered with arrows.

Congrats on the house, Gud! Ownership within 2 years of purchase is pretty amazing.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Go, Gud, go!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Congrats on the house, Gud!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, Gud, that's great!

Yay pretty dress, meara! I love it when I feel all put together and strangers agree.

A vendor just cam to transfer all our drivers to new phones and he is Ethiopian and I am GEEKING OUT. I think I made him a bit uncomfortable. How coinkadink though that I made a salad we used to get at an Ethiopian place in NYC last night and I have it to eat for lunch with some injera, the Ethiopian bread.

Thanks. It's a HUD house so it was basically an auction with an opening price of 62k. Maybe we could have gotten it with a lower bid, but I have no idea what the next highest was. They don't publish them.

David will want these shirts today

Well I wouldn't mind the Studio Kitty shirt. I'm down with Catbus and Gigi.

Congratulations, Gud! (Insert standard statement on head-exploding-low housing prices in Gud's area.)

The DC area has been having historically low numbers of houses on the market, which kept things very quiet, but the prices have just started to explode lately on anything that doesn't need a lot of work. This one is right around the corner from us, and I am all a-gog since it doesn't have a driveway, the yard is really small, no attic or basement storage, the way it is set up makes the living room and dining space look small and not very usable, and the green bedroom isn't large enough for a twin bed. I can't wait to see what it actually sells for. [link]

Meanwhile, we are having the guy out today for an estimate on screening in our porch. I am also grateful for the $$ we invested in fixing up the basement drainage because there were a number of messages on the neighborhood listserv from people with basement flooding from the storms yesterday, and that is not a mess I ever want to clean up again.
