I had not realised that Sendak wrote In the Night Kitchen! Actually, I'd forgotten that book even existed. It must have been three decades or more since I last read it.

When they built a children's play area based on Where The Wild Things Roam, they added an In The Night Kitchen dining area. It even had a little bread train that ran around the perimeter. I used to take Emmett all the time on rainy, wintery days until they closed it.

I was just watching the finale of Pippin, with William Katt, because Linda Holmes was tweeting about Pippin, and I realized that despite loving musical theatre AND Stephen Schwartz/Godspell, I had never really listened to it.
I recognized the woman playing Pippin's wife, and it was Maeve from Guiding Light. That was weird!
Man, I forgot that living in the eastern time zone means there aren't a pile of posts by the time I get up and at em.

Oh, funny! Of course, now I'm sort of regretting never seeing it at the ART here. But my formative Pippin was a school production the summer before I started high school, with Matt Damon as Pippin!
