Kids and I "celebrated" the last day of school by clearing the bookcases. But now that's done, we are relaxing and I'm drinking wine. And I've promised them they can sleep in the tent tonight.
I'm in Paris! And it's three in the morning and I'm awake, because my body has no idea what time zone it's in.

Brain dump because I've spent the past hour fighting with my browser and sites to set up an account online:
New slowest swim ever. Yay? It's getting to be old news. But I was really babying my shoulder, and that seemed to have not aggravated it. I just wish I knew what the fuck. I used to do 2 miles in 67-68 minutes. Tonight was 83! Jesus.
Also, my appraisal came in at the low end. Which I worried about (getting comps in this hood is a pain. Houses move, but don't come on the market often and are varied in condition, but then you get a bidding war, but last one was outside the comp window and bleh,) but it is still saves me money short and long. I'd even be happy with short and break even long (though the plan is once I get used to car payment, when that's done and I'm used to being out that $, it goes to principle, so even in the long term I'll come out ahead.)
The broker thought it was worse news than I did. I was like, hey, that's still REAL MONEY. It makes the car payments more bearable. He's going to try to see if there are some other resources we can tap, but like I said, even if I just break even long, but pay less monthly, I'm fine with that.
