Brain dump because I've spent the past hour fighting with my browser and sites to set up an account online:
New slowest swim ever. Yay? It's getting to be old news. But I was really babying my shoulder, and that seemed to have not aggravated it. I just wish I knew what the fuck. I used to do 2 miles in 67-68 minutes. Tonight was 83! Jesus.
Also, my appraisal came in at the low end. Which I worried about (getting comps in this hood is a pain. Houses move, but don't come on the market often and are varied in condition, but then you get a bidding war, but last one was outside the comp window and bleh,) but it is still saves me money short and long. I'd even be happy with short and break even long (though the plan is once I get used to car payment, when that's done and I'm used to being out that $, it goes to principle, so even in the long term I'll come out ahead.)
The broker thought it was worse news than I did. I was like, hey, that's still REAL MONEY. It makes the car payments more bearable. He's going to try to see if there are some other resources we can tap, but like I said, even if I just break even long, but pay less monthly, I'm fine with that.
ION, I'm just worn down.

People talking about Buffy fangirls should really be careful how they use the nickname Kittens...

Timelies all!
Soon I will shower and dress and go run errands. I need to pick up my subscriptions at the comic book store, try to find a pair of nice black sandals and get my dad a tie for Father's Day.(Yes, it's a cliche, but that's what he told me he wanted.)
Sparky, are your Santa Monica people okay?
Woken up hours too early by Ply crying for me out on the patio because she wanted scritchies. I hate my cats, sometimes.
So I'm adding to my good mood by searching despairingly through rental listings and dreading having to go back to a garden apartment in a sub/urban area, or wind up with an hours commute (but I'll take the commute if it means quasi-rural).
Bleh.
Thanks for asking, Dana. Both got home safely about 9:30 last night. They were not allowed to take anything with them, so everything from keys to cars to cell phones are still on campus. A couple hours after I posted here I got word from my BiL's BiL that he was also safe, but still locked down and we eventually were able to get word to my sister.
That's a relief, Sparky.
Jesse, I don't know if this is a repeat, but it has its merits: [link]

Ooh! Slick--sex toy jewellery: [link] -- it could be like a secret code--when someone sees you wearing one you make a signal and you know you're in the anyplace orgasm club.
Bye! See you all on the flipside!
