But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK, I have done my 75 squats for the day (that's a phrase I am surprised is coming from me with no irony) and it is all due to you guys. So, thanks?

BTW, skipping exercise before work and then doing it while still dressed in office clothes in the middle of a hot afternoon when you have no air-conditioning is not the smartest possible decision.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Do you mean "in time" in that stretch session, or do you mean as you progress loosening yourself up from session to session?

I mean B, as in when I first tried it my back was so stiff I could just lean over my legs and now I can touch my head to my knees as long as I keep them relaxed and let them relax to straighten. Not a quick fix I realize, but oh well.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am restraining myself from stretching in the office...

Freedom of the Press Index (PDF). It's fascinating! Jamaica has a freer press than the US. We're number fucking 13. We're freer than Switzerland. I know nothing of the group that did this research. Are they a/the voice to listen to in this regard (please say yes)? Agenda that I need to filter through?

OK, what about stretching your legs out while sitting on the floor and putting your head down to your knee? I never could do that, either.

Yes I can! Even after not doing yoga for a year. And I am 41 years old. Chalk it up to natural bendiness.

Man, if this fashion guru [link] from The Guardian showed up and tried to make me over, I'd cry. I'm tempted to skip around all her videos to find the first outfit I don't thinks wrong, but I got four deep and have nothing but a coppery taste in my mouth to show for it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We just relocated four bookcases from one bedroom to another. This is good, but my back is going to complain tomorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I DEFINITELY would have mentioned Hathaway! Sheesh. I saw Kevin Whately doing some Q&A and saw a clip, but didn't actually meet him, because nobody made me, and I can't do it myself. Apparently Laurence Fox is a huge PITA to work with.

Liquor license was approved! Woot! And the liquor board president called the bookstore "iconic

Atomic I assume? They ARE iconic.

lisah, what are you most interested in?

I have to admit, my criteria were few. Don't hate it topped the list right after the price and reliability factors. Oh & being hopefully near a mechanic after the warrantees all run out. Now granted, that's a ways off. But I'm not planning on moving in 5 years (or even longer, for any warrantee that is strictly mileage-based, cause I'm going to hit the time ones before the miles, the way I drive.) I'd already eliminated some in the class based on my friends' cars where I got in and was like 'I do not want this car. X would make me crazy.'

My shoulder issued a huge fuck you tonight. I knew I slept funny and it took a lot of hot water in the shower this morning to feel borderline normal. But the first quarter mile, I seriously thought it was not going to work. Every lead-bearing stroke, top of my shoulder screamed and was almost not cooperative. Warmed up a bit and it was ok until the very end.

Dang. I've never had that happen before. Tired, sore, but never so bad I thought I might have to quit!

I can barely touch my toes, however I can put knees over my shoulders and generally fold my legs up impossibly. Long legged girl has long legs.

I've only done the splits involuntarily, and while it is startling, it doesn't really hurt. But I cannot bring myself to do it on purpose.

Oh, and I have to admit I really don't hate the Mazda 2. I guess you could even say I like it. I like the visibility, how it feels like I'm riding higher (I'm not sure if that is true or not, but it doesn't feel like I'm dropping into the seat and I feel higher up from the road.) After my old car, the handling on this wee thing is a revelation. But that's not a shocker.

The only thing that freaks me out is I keep thinking people are tailgating because it's a hatchback. I still think there is another 3 feet of car behind me. Hell, I still think there is another foot or so of car in front of me. I find myself swimming in parking spots. Not pulled all the way up, but with tons of clearance behind me.
