Ack, -t, I don't know how you get around that, but I bet googling stuff about reentering the workforce would find something for you. Also, I have worked continuously and will still definitely use a reference from ten years ago. Because we are now friends! Can you use friends you've done some kind of project with? I mean, shit, I would be your reference!
I just type two letters and Chrome fills in the place I normally go. This website is "bu" + Enter.
No typing! I like to just click click click. And then type sometimes.
Don't all browsers have the bookmark bar now? I don't think of it as a Chrome thing.
They may do, but I've only ever used bookmarks for occasional sites, not regular ones. Regular ones should be in the pull-down or, at worst, auto-fill.
Yeah, I haven't stayed in contact with anyone I worked with back then. And the last e-mail from HR specifically said that they like the reference to only go 5-10 years back.
I have lots of people willing to be a reference for me, but I can't claim a lengthy "professional association" with any of them.
I think maybe my best bet is to list the inventory company and the person who hired me at the temp agency, because even though I haven't seen her since my first week on this assignment she is technically my supervisor. Those are three months each. It's obvious from my resume that I don't have a lot of long-term gigs and we discussed that in my interviews, but neither of those were with HR so I guess they have different expectations.
Man, I have way too many bookmarks, it is ridiculous. I mostly use autofill for my regular sites, I think.

Heh - my summer intern is constantly bitching about the lack of keyboard shortcuts in our workflow (mostly internal web service tools), because he hates clicking.
I do use the Bookmarks bar at the top, but not for places I go to several times a day. It makes sense in my mind, for some reason.
I also just leave tabs open. Sometimes a lot of tabs.

Really, I like to do one or the other, but not both. In Word? All keyboard shortcuts until I'm taking a break from typing. When I finish a post, I always tab/enter to post it. But if I'm just going from tumblr to facebook to whatever? No keyboard! All clicking.
I have three windows open in Opera. This [link] is the main one. Safari, Chrome, and Firefox are also running, but with maybe 1/5 of the sites open.
ALL THE INTERNET GET IN MAH BELLEH.

ita is a Teletubby for the modern age.
I just counted all my currently open tabs - 33.
It's usually just 4 when I'm at work. But rarely less than 4.
Wow. I only have one bookmarks bar, with 17 bookmarks, and even that I'd like to pare down.
And I have nine tabs open, which is Too Many and it's freaking me out!
