To go from site to site, of the ones I visit most often, with just clicking and not typing.

Um, but. Tabs. Tabs are awesome.

Also, if you hit ctrl+shift+b your bookmarks bar appears so you can click on those if you don't like tabs. Weirdo.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't even have bookmarks! I would just have to change the whole way I do everything. Which I realize might be a weird way, but it is mine. I like two or three tabs, but not 8!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I agree with Jesse about Chrome! No pulldown foils my flow.

Oh! I think the Bookmarks Bar does what I need. Thanks!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just type two letters and Chrome fills in the place I normally go. This website is "bu" + Enter.

Because books.

Oh! I think the Bookmarks Bar does what I need. Thanks!

The Bookmarks Bar is my favorite thing EVER. Everything I use daily right there. I love it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Don't all browsers have the bookmark bar now? I don't think of it as a Chrome thing.

Oh, lord, Yahoo has changed the way the mail displays, so that it's an infinite scroll. Which is fine, I guess, if you view newest messages at the top. I view them at the bottom, so now it wants to scroll through all my messages dating from 1997.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jesse,

also, if you get the extension quickmarks, you can assign fav websites keywords and you can get to the site quicker. For example, this one is buffy. All I do is type "b buffy" hit return and I'm here.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, hey, I was gonna explain why the references thing is do vexing when I got home. And now I'm home. So.

They want 3 "professional associations" and the length of time of the association, for the references.I gave them the same three references that I gave the temp agency, my last 3 employers (skipping the inventory taking company, because, really, that doesn't count, but maybe I should reconsider that) who happen to be my brother, my sister, and a friend of mine. Because I have hardly worked for the last, uh, 8 years, and when I have it's been for friends and family, pretty much. So, they twigged that the guy with the same last name as me might be a relative, and they think he won't be an unbiased reference, which I can hardly fault them for. My sister is not obviously my sister, but I just worked for her for a quick month helping with a business plan, and that is too short a time.

So, inventory was 3 months. Technorati was one month. And then we're back to the NO Sewerage and Water Board and I'm not sure that Jack would remember me at this point. And before that was the store that has since closed so there's really no way to reach anyone I worked with even if references from over a decade ago made some kind of sense.
